FACTS:

FORD GT -
The powerplant is a mid-mounted supercharged 5.4 liter V8, producing 550 horsepower. Top speed is 205 mph (330 km/h).

C6 Z06-
It has a 7.0 L (7,008 cc/427.6 in³) version of the Small-Block engine codenamed LS7. Output is 505 hp (376 kW).

That is GMs newest engine in the vette. So, for the vette to have 488hp it has to be an earlier version of the C6. Wether that be power at the wheels or not. If that IS the case, this leads me to believe that it has more than just an intake and tune because the older C6s were garbage and required A LOT of bulky parts to produce minimal power.

Not to mention, these aren't real races. They were already rolling for one, and two, they were just screwing around. If you lay down some more facts and do some REAL racing, trust me, the corvette has too many flaws. One of which is the HUGE 7.0L engine it's toating around. It's completely non-race friendly, inefficient and the biggest performance draw back is its handling.

GM takes a huge clunky 7.0L engine to produce 500hp. NOT EFFICIENT, HIGHLY UNLIKELY TO BE RACE FRIENDLY.

FORD takes a small Supercharged 5.4L engine to produce 550hp. Very efficient. A lot of R&D went into the car and it deserves its price tag.

The Ford has a 5.4 liter to the chevy's 7.0, so the intake and tune more than make up for the low pressured super that Ford threw on. Plus, the chevy weighs as much a compact car!
